This is the time of year when school owners are excited because the fall is typically a great time to enroll new students.
Back to school specials are everywhere and owners are working hard to get the word out on their offers.
But…the one thing owners should also be doing, the thing is that is far, far more important than any marketing efforts, the most important thing an owners can do is…
Go back to your records from 2016 for the months of Sept, Oct and see what percentage of those students are still training.
Not just paying, but actually in class.
Then check your total student count for those months, has your school grown?
A 4% monthly attrition rate means half of those students are gone, 8% and they’re all gone.
So, before you get all excited about those students, maybe we need to check what kind of job we’re doing and make darn sure the back door is shut before as we are bringing in bunch of new students through the front door.
