13 Insightful Observations on My Return to the Martial Arts Business

1. The martial arts business is way behind the technology curve.

2. I don’t see a single school using marketing automation and I have visited hundreds of websites. Including all the “top players” (AUTO RESPONDERS ARE NOT MARKETING AUTOMATION).

3. Almost no one is using custom videos on their social media.

4. No one has sent me video followed-up by email (very powerful). All the follow-up messages I have received so far have no graphics and dubious sales copy.

5. No one I have found seems to have a social media plan. All seem to post randomly and many don’t even post daily (the minimum requirement).

6. Everyone seems to be using the same 3-4 landing pages and no one seems to be testing their own.

7. I have seen no micro landing pages marketing keywords.

8. The people I have talked to are spending way too much on pay-per-click for way too little return.

9. Lots of people report lots of landing page sign-ups that translate into very few lesson sign-ups. Verdict: the leads are poor quality; 10 qualified leads in most cases (unless you are great at sales) are better than 40 unqualified.

10. No one I have found is testing A/B/C/D offers to see what actually produces the best possible combination of response!

11. No one is using overlays to increase landing page response.

12. No one has single dash reporting of all marketing efforts.

13. Since no one is doing little or any of the above, NO ONE is truly maximizing their school! What an amazing opportunity for 2017!
