Years ago when I was a young program director, I had little note taped on my desk that only I could see.
It said, “They Need It!”
And as I spoke with potential students, I would see that note and it reminded me of how important it was to convince them to begin martial arts training.
It wasn’t about the money, a new car or a bigger house.
When I sat down to offer classe, I truly believed I was failing them if I couldn’t get them excited about martials arts.
And after 40 years, I believe the “They Need It” sign rings truer than ever.
I believe a martial arts program can improve anyone’s life, young or old, and I believe we are privileged to be martial arts instructors and tasked with sharing this great program with as many people as possible.
And when we improve hundreds, maybe thousands of people lives guess what…
We get the money, the car and the bigger house.
Remember: If your income is proportionate to the good you do in this world, then a huge income means you’re doing a huge amount of good.
Now get to work….because “They Need It”!
