It’s just business….

A little rant for the day:

It’s just business…

Listen, if somebody tells you “It’s just business” they’re full of shit, it’s not business, it’s greed.

I’ve been doing business for a lot of years, and every time someone said it’s just business, they were lying an had an ulterior motive and were covering their ass.

I find it interesting how people will acquiesce their honor, integrity and reputation over just one deal or opportunity.

Greed makes them forget life is made up of deals and opportunities, if you stay around long enough you’ll get tons of both.

Or not.

Because once you turn on a friend, throw a partner under the bus, lie, cheat or steal, the word gets out in you’re off the mountain, and it’s damn hard to get back up there.

I know, I blew it in the fitness business years ago, I’m still cleaning that mess up.

I lost money, friends and pride.

It really sucked…

A few years back a mentor once told me: you can’t do a good deal with a bad guy, and you can’t do a bad deal with good guy.

Deals sometimes change, things go wrong, deals fall apart, but in the end what remains is your character.

But I also found who my true friends are, the ones who still trust me, and they trust me because I never said “It’s just business”.

  1. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such magnificent information being shared freely out there.

  2. This is a new list for today. I’m sorry about the last two lists. You may find some proxies not working the way they should. There was also duplicates in the list. I’m still learning about free public proxies. I hope you can make good use out of this list.
