Process vs Event
Are you getting these two ideas confused?
As martial arts school owners, we run a lot of Events for our students like – open houses, buddy days, birthday parties, training seminars, color belt testing, Black Belt testing, and Instructor testing.
As business owners, we attend Events like – business learning events, new martial arts training, personal development….and the list goes on.These events get you excited and hyped-up to see what your Future could look like. When you attend a new marital arts training “seminar”, you are either being introduced to a new concept or idea or are building upon your current knowledge. But this EVENT isn’t the End, it’s just the Beginning. The PROCESS is how you will train the skills you just learned from this event.
Are you an Event Miser? Someone who goes to all the events and lacks the process? If so, I’m sure that’s where some of your frustration is coming from. You have trouble understanding why you go to all the same seminars as that successful business owner that you know, but their results are so much better than yours. Sound Familiar?
The especially successful martial arts school owners understand the difference between Process and Event. So when they attend a new marital arts seminar or business seminar, they know how to fully engage in the process so that they can maximize their understanding and learning and ultimately, the speed at which they implement for Success.
Start now, learn to put your attention into the Process. My gut tells me, most school owners have more INFORMATION than they can handle. Start focusing on how to get that information, strategy or new training method into your business.
I’ve been in the Martial Arts business since 1993. It’s easy for people to only see my company as it is today! How we have 6 profitable locations with a tremendous staff heavily involved in our community and have raised over $200,000 for charities in the last 9 years. Most will see only the
Results – the People who understand Process will understand it wasn’t LUCK, but that there is a very specific road map that we have implemented daily over the last 23 years.
This is why my Mastery Coaching and Training Seminars are experiential. I want you to learn the information while being a part of the pProcess. I work with school owners the same way I work with my team so that the learning and implementation are seamless.
This way, when you get back to your business you can hit the ground running. You can implement right away as opposed to sitting with a notebook full of notes you can no longer understand.
