Different ages kids expressing interest in attending karate class

Listen, the martial arts arts world is full of guru’s promising to “Double Your Business” or whatever term the marketing people say they should this week.

But I have a little news for ya.

You ain’t in the business of building a business, you’re in the business of growing your community.

Stop trying to build a business and grow a community.

Have you ever heard a pastor at church say “Let’s grow this business”? Nope, what they say is “Let’s share our message and grow our community, we’ll help more people that way”

Some are real, real good at sharing their message and they have churches with ten’s of 1000’s of members, and they make millions of tax free dollars…

And their ‘students’ only go to class once a week on Sunday’s!

Others are strip mall churches with 5 people sittin’ in the pews on Sunday morning…

So maybe if we treat our students more as a community than a business, If we approach building our communities (hey, a community with 300 people will give you a wonderful life…) instead of trying to learn to run money extraction scams,  we might just find that we are helping more people, and help ourselves also.

Next week;  The 3 rules of building a community.

I’ve dedicated myself to finding and sharing the ways and means to balance success and personal goals; learning to “play to your strengths” and follow your heart. And the journey has been truly amazing.

  1. I believe what you posted was very logical. However, think on this, suppose you added a little content? I am not suggesting your content is not good, however what if you added something to possibly grab people’s attention? I mean is kinda boring. You might look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they write news titles to get people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to get readers interested about everything’ve got to say. In my opinion, it would make your blog a little livelier.

  2. Hey there! This is my first comment here sso I just wated to give a quick shout out
annd tell you I truly enjoy reading through your articles.
Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that deal with the same subjects?

web site and provides it a look on a continuing basis.

  4. I was wondering if you evver thought of changing the layout off your website?
Its very well written; I love what youv got to say.
But magbe you could a little more in tthe waay of content so people coulld connect with it better.
Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one oor 2 images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
